A message from Producer D.O.T

Crate Digging : The New Age
Today i was working on some beats when i decided i wanted to hit up some of my old school roots and work on some sampled beats for the "Mood Swings" mixtape that my man Rated R is planning on releasing in February. It was then when i suddenly realized how the digital age of producing has changed so much. As i sat at my computer and fired up my browser and limewire I began to think of which artists i wanted to try and find unheard music from and try and find a little gem to sample. Then i decided to head straight to torrentpond and search for the keyword music and download some random tunes i had never heard before. As i ran down to grab a soda i almost tripped over my turn table sitting on the floor and realized that i probably had not touched it to make a beat in close to a year. In a way it was depressing to think that my little baby that i payed no more than 200 bucks for was probably going to barely be used ever again. Vinyl is a thing of the past. Now dont get me wrong.. I still like to hit the local vinyl store every once in a while and hope to find that sweet little rythym or that dope drum beat.. But for the most part i dont have to leave my desk. I search randomly.. I download.. Then i load up into acid and chop away. 20 Minutes later im loading my chops up and i'm on my way to another classic rap beat. Its funny to think where we are going to be in another 10 years. I just saw an add on TV for a new touch screen computer. It is scarry to think what we will be looking at in the future. The music industry as a whole has changed exponentially in the last 5 years. Im intrigued to see what happens in the next 5.

Am I wrong?

Check this out I finally saw my girl friends Halloween costume last night an it's crazyyyyyyy. Lol. Word. It looks like she has nothing on. I'm fucking around she looks real sexy and I say that to say this. Am I wrong for not wanted her to wear that out to a club? I ain't going to front a nigga is a jealous mother fucker when it comes to a women im feeling which is my wife. We been with each other for three years. At the same time you have to give women there space cause at the an of the day if you can't trust your other half then its never going to work and that's some thing I've learn over time. But believe me ima be there to pick her up .lol. Drop a comment down below an let me know what you think about this whether your a male or female.
Rated R.

Same shit different day

Just how im feeling.
Last night I was writing a song called ""Sick Sense" produced by D.O.T. It's basically giving you a insight on my twisted mind (lol) an how im not scared to create my own paths. The song has three different characters and some how link up to me in some strange way. It's just me getting deep and believing that there is more out there then what we no about. I truly think that there is a higher force then us an at times they try to tell us or have us see things that we can't see on our own. "Sick Sense" is similar to the movie that "Bruce Willis" played in. If you haven't seen that then you need to check that out A.S.A.P.
Other then that im feeling good im focus an living life to the fulliest and trying to work as hard as the next man. Got to go.

Message from management

What's good? Rated R wanted me to keep the people posted, because he's been in the studio all day and didn't get a chance to write to the people. Right now he is working on his second track of the day(10/22/08).Believe me when I tell you, this track sounds offfff the hook!!! I don't think it has a title yet but trust me when I tell you,he's going in bar for bar. There's this one line that is stuck in my head and won't go way.Its like on reply just because its such a hard line. I don't know if he wants me repeating his bars before the song is release but fuck it,this is a blog right?.... It went something like this......

"THE GAME FUCKED UP
NIGGAS GETTIN TUMMY TUCKS
BITCHES WALKING AROUND TALKING BOUT NIGGA GET YOUR MONEY UP".

WHOAA! I didn't get to hear much of the song but those line stop me dead in my tracks as the engineer reply the track back for Rated R. R kicked me out the studio, he is weird when it comes to recording. He only wants no more then 2 people in the studio at all times. The engineer, (and his sidekick). Ok I have to end this blog now I have to run to M.O.E in Harlem to pick up some cd/cases. Don't forget "NEW YORK STATE OF MIND" Hosted by Superstar Jay is still in the streets. Not just the internet IN THE STREETS.

Peace
